Panther WIP. Lots done, but lots more to go. (If my pictures aren't visible, please say something. I've not been very successful at loading them.)

Nice one! Did you use the AO for that "weathering" detail by any chance? Looks quite cool.

I used Blender's "pointiness" operator to highlight the edges a bit. I haven't done any unmapping or texturing yet. This was just a quicky shader for use during construction.

    Nice modelling Mark,

I've never done it but tanks look like quite a uv exercise.

To be honest, a tank is pretty easy to UV as it's all flat panels basically most of the times so there is very little UV distortion in the end.

Mark: Aaah ok, why does it highlight the front glacis upwards then?

I was more thinking of all the details rather than the chassis/body.

I think the highlights are due to geometry wasn't quite done yet and there were some bad edges in there. Once I finished the weld seams, those highlights went away.

As far as UV layouts go, it's true there isn't much UV distortion, but there were lots of edges to cut. It took longer than I had hoped and was more tedious than I had expected.

Anyway... UV layout and modeling of the exterior is done (I think). I have enough reference material to try an interior. Hopefully my little laptop can handle it.

    Progress so far:
