Another sweet looking cutie. You've got a clean and tidy and neatly laid out mesh there. Fine detail work there on the last shots on both the nozzle and the landind gears.

I'm curious how you go about setting your dimensions and proportions. Do you take properly drawn line drawings and skew them down to the cartoonish proportions or do you use some other method?

That is actually not too bad, 50 hours, as you need to do research etc.
And *usually* modelling faster goes at the cost of accuracy, not that it would necessarily matter with a cartoon model.

Thanks Nils, Mark06GT and cobra6 for your comments.

Mark06GT, I’m working with a 2D blueprint (or assembly instruction from scale model like Tamiya) and just draw with those references. For exemple, this is my draw for the F-16. Top, side and bottom !

I didn’t exagerate the shape… just stretch enough to change the true shape to toon. My wife finds that it is not enough for a toon… it is right perhaps!!!

I think you've made a good compromise between the original proportions and the distorted cartoon version. Too much distortion and you can't tell what it's supposed to be. Not enough distortion and it looks like a badly modeled F-16.

Little update. Landing gear and weapons.

    Good day

Toon of the year methinks - I struggle to put that much detail into a serious effort
