  1. #1

Deutsches Heer King Tiger in the Rain

I should have posted this here instead of motor pool
    Rendered in Vue 8

King Tiger made in 3ds max and rigged in poser.
Ruins are form Stonemason (Battlefield) at Daz3d

Added reflections to have the appearance of wet surfaces.

Nice on ranman, would of been a common situation, fighting a war in the rain.

I feel the rain looks to big in the image but it could be close to the viewer.

Indeed the rain is a tad too big but I'm also missing something in the lighting, especially on the front right buildings and stone it looks very flat an uniform. Maybe an Ambient Occlusion pass would help since you won't have hard shadows in rainy weather most of the time.

I love the scene though and the depth with the soldier at the front and tank at the back

I have similar thoughts about the scale of the rain. Maybe a lighter mist would work? What about some puddles on the street to add some reflections?

Great feedback, here is final version. added bump to building added a puddle, hard to see, pushed rain back a bit. Enjoy

Nice composition. I second the opinion about the rain. You might consider adding some splashes on the ground and more mist for atmosphere.

I've seen it, thats why I would add some splashes of the rain dropping and more mist

Overall, it's a really nice scene

Although the bump map on the wall is very nice, I think you can turn down the strength a little bit, it's quite strong. Good progress though!
