RC-135U COMBAT SENT

Post by japme »

Decided to pull my old RC-135V/W RIVET JOINT model, and modify/upgrade it to a RC-135U COMBAT SENT.

Image

Fortunately, that consists mainly of rebuilding the nose, tail, and wingtips, with minor detailing changes across the model, but I also tweaked the nacelles and pylons, as well as optimizing some of the poly flow across the fuselage an wings.

Base model and details are done, so now to start working on the shaders/textures!

Based out of OFFUTT AFB, Nebraska and assigned to the 55WG, COMBAT SENT is the USAF's premier heavy TECHNICAL SIGINT collection asset.

Now that one has come a long way since the old 707, solid and good looking model!

Wing Color / Bump - Complete... still need to add landing lights (modelled) and detail the wingtips.

Looking really good, but what is going on with the shades under the wings?

Lower quality lighting/GI for preview... since it isn't getting direct light, it results in the patchiness. Once I crank the GI quality, it will look as good as upper surfaces do.

Started on the fuselage... left side color map (no markings) completed.

Most of the finicky work will be around the fairing for the wings and making sure that the side/top/bottom maps mesh correctly.
