B-58 Hustler - Round II

If it flies, store it in the aviation hangar.

Got lucky!

Managed to generate an actual 3D snow field (didn't use a particle generator... was the 1st thing I tried, but the calculation time was something ridiculous). Also got the exhaust plume to work.

Still need to add some atmospheric effects in, around the wings of the jet, but I think the general image is almost done.

That looks pretty good, the blast effect on the snow looks quite realistic

Think I got it... now has actual turbulence over the top of the wing that even intensifies, as you move inward, toward the fuselage.

Also tweaked the colors/exposure to make it slightly more punchy, color-wise.

Thinking I might get a metal print of this one.

Metal print, that would be interesting. Too bad you couldn't get it printed on B-58 metal, like those airplane tags. ;)

That would be cool!

As it is, I'm currently waiting to see if the Grissom AFB Museum has contact info for the pilot (Maj William Brandt). Unfortunately, his DSO and Nav/Bombadier were both killed in their crash, the following year. If they do, I'm going to see about getting a print sent to him
