WIP B-29

Post by Nils »

I started the B-29 quite some time ago, but eventually it had time to do some modelling, and she's finally nearing completion on the modelling side. I just need some work on the bay, plus some bits here and there.. it's my first upload to the new forum so I might mess it up.. :D

It will look good when you get the bare metal texturing done.

B-29 is an odd beauty, looking like a good model :)

Thanks guys, it was done as a fun project mainly because a friend challenged me to do her 😁
But with good weather now, and most modelling done, I’ll unwrap her soon but not until the usual autumn indoor weather starts. Not sure what I’ll make of her but I would really like to do a japanese fighter to match, maybe a N1K or Ki-100..? I don’t know much more about them than their looks

It looks good Nils & great subject. I'm looking forward to seeing it with its shiny metal surface.

One thing I've noticed, I think you've made the leading edge of your fin to straight and needs to be more curvy.

A little update on the first texturing on the metallic surface on the fuselage
the bands and marks are just for testing speculars, and are temporary only
Kevin, not sure what you mean, is is the cross section of the fin leading edge or the sideways profile?
