WOW. I can't wait to see her in color!
Are you gonna add some Red Army and German Army units into that picture?

Trying to work on a few more details on the buildings, and then get the terrain set up, but I would like to get to that point to add military units.

Interesting! What are your plans for this?

a V2 rocket facility.
I plan to hopefully get to the point to make a diorama out of the sets, various renders in different places with armor and soldiers. I still have lots of smaller details and objects to add, but wanted to get the buildings themselves into the picture.

wow.... that level of detail is incredible.. I want to go back through the areas once I'm satisfied with the layout and add that immense detail to really bring the render to life. Thanks for showing, something to strive towards for sure.

Airborne, I take it you modelled these after the Medal of Honor (PC) multi-player levels. Great stuff!

Aye, sure did. We'll see how they turn out

uh yeah.... that's too easy to do... just add displacement to the mesh and ta da... render times must have been INSANE though... and the only way to get this into a game type scenario would be to use... normal maps....

Mudbox reports from the beta guys sound great. They picked top guys for the initial beta team. I just hope I can afford it when the day comes.

I can dig out a review too if anyone's interested.

we have a copy of that beta here at my new job
it seems to be a really awesome tool..
but we have some issues with it when it comes to rigging models

The guys behind it say all the right things about it serving the artist, only a tool to an end etc, so it'll be interesting to see how quickly issues like that are overcome.
I didnt apply for the beta. Felt a bit short in the credentials dept. Also didnt want to fall in love but then not afford a license later. Not too many hints about whether they're aiming at a "foundation" style version or not.

Mudbox is like Zbrush for dummies ;)
The '3D' layers are amazing..
its extremely stable too for Beta.
I look forward to the release version like a starving junk yard dog in a butchers! :D

Ive had some minor crashes with it. But I think it is more user friendly than Zbrush IMO.
Also sometimes it still doesnt use MAX UV's correctly. But overall nice proggy
