Well after 3 weeks of voting, we can finally announce the winners of the Best of 2006 awards!
Firstly, with 33% of votes, the Best Work in Progress is awarded to Galgot (http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/member.php?u=67), for his fabulous MiG-21PF (http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183)!
The Best Finished Piece, with 34% of the votes, goes to digiartist (http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/member.php?u=73), and his stunning Target! (http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321)

This last year has seen yet another spread of spectacular images and projects, and I'm sure you will all join myself and the rest of the staff in congratulating Galgot and digiartist. Well done to all the other nominees as well, I think the voting this year was particularly difficult for many. To everyone, keep up the great work, and let's hope that 2007 is even better!

Wow! This is a real honour for me!
I would like to say thank you to everyone who voted for 'target!' and congratulate Galgot on his superb Mig 21.
Mil Mesh features the very best military digital artists in my honest opinion and I think the amazing quality of work featured in both of this year's categories supports that view. I'm looking forward to seeing even more stunning work this coming year!

Well, I didn't vote for digiartist (furball had my vote - planes, you know...) but it was really tough making a choice because so many people deserved it. And Target is so atmospheric and tells a story as well... yes, but in this other render, there is... arrghhh, it's impossible !
Well done to both of you, and to all the nominees as well, because there was really quality stuff in that list. :)
