I guess as long as it's military, age does't count for this forum? In this case I'm talking of real age, about year 800 ac.
It's the bow of the Oseberg vikingship or rather a queens ship that was dug out of a grave mound around 1930 in the area of Tønsberg, south east Norway. The ship can be seen at a the Viking ship museum in Oslo, together with two others, found in the same way. I was a usual custom to bury wealthy person in those days with all their belongings, and then I mean everything, including their slaves..
This is a pen and ink drawing I did in 1992 of it.

No age doesn't matter at all. Just so long as it was/is/could have been real, that's fine.

This is an excellent drawing - exquisite detail. I'd love to see this ship. This one and the Wasa in Stockholm are two on my must visit list. Nice to see!
