This is 325.FG, 318.FS, P-51B-15-NA serial43-24895 flown by 2nd Lt. Frank C. Soltesz.

Currently this is my progress on this profile, Lots to be done mainly working on the main body of the aircraft before moving onto the wings, drop tanks and cockpit.

Love the weathering detail on the checker-tail. It brings the underlying structure alive. Very subtle work. Many would've stopped at the pattern.
Very nice so far, keep it coming.;)

It looks really good so far System_M. Very colorful. Rivet detail and fabric covered surfaces are nicely done. The aluminium finish is looking a little grey though. I would imagine it has hard to do in 2D (it is in 3D too). Maybe you need to add more blue to it and less grey and make the highlights harder edged.

As a matter of interest, what size and resolution do you do your profiles at ?

That's looking really nice, Craig!
At some point I'll be converting my D-model Mustang to a B/C, but I've found out it's almost like making a new aircraft entirely. Hardly anything stays the same.

Make the distinctive "hump" forward of the windshield at the top of the firewall a bit more pronounced:

Which drawings are you using as a base?

I have a guy that Peter Kassak knows who makes them as a speciality they get sent forward to me to then use into profiles.
