Artist comments:
Liu Yudi was born in 1923 , Hebei Province . In October, 1938 enlisted. In the Korean War, he shoot down 6 enemy aircrafts . In December, 1952, the air force awarded him " the fight hero " title of honor. In 1988 he became Air Force Lieutenant General.

I don't know the man in the image, to be honest I've never heard of him. However, I do like the image. It has very oil painting look to the image and even if it didn't look like the man its supposed to, it is a very impressive effort.

A very nice take on a style of image we don't seen around here. Well done.
