Looking great! Some nit picks.

I'd like to see some reflectivity in the cockpit glass. Just a smidge.

The panel doors on top show just a little too much of an edge. It's hard to tell on a Raptor unless you get up close but those panels are actually underneath a RAM coating (they actually have to cut thru the material to access the panel.)

That same RAM coating is what gives the Raptor that sort of satin look to it if the light is right.

Colin - I like the integration (Lighting looks real good) - except for the yellow vapor trail...I think that would be better left white/grey. ;)

Question: the missile doors on the side - shouldn't there be sawtooth edges on them? Specifically the "long" edge?

I think thats the internal rib structure showing, not a saw-tooth edge.
Look at this Paris Airshow close-up on the door.

Actually, he's correct. The forward edges of the Raptor weapons bay doors are sawtoothed.

Nope, he's saying the long edge.

ok... guys... first... the side doors do not hat the saw edge. they are the shape i have made them. the main missile bays on the bottom of the plane do have the saw edge...

the yellow streaks... well... yeah... toast....

and ronnie... yep... you are right... blow two of them away.... any two.. but not this one... ok?

I tell you what, if you have never seen this plane active up close, it's impressive. I work at Edwards AFB, California, up in the dry lake beds of the lower Mojave desert, where they test all new manned and unmanned jet aircraft, including currently the Raptor. Almost every day I see the plane taking off for more tests. When it takes off, it starts up conventionally, but within seconds, a lot sooner than older jets, even before traversing the runway, the vectored exhaust engines kick in and the plane climbs almost a complete 90 degree angle, straight up! It then rolls over in its' turn and within seconds the sonic boom as they hit the sound barrier rattles the windows, if you're indoors, and makes you want to run for cover if you are outside.... :D :p

and ronnie... yep... you are right... blow two of them away.... any two.. but not this one... ok?Closing two of them, so they'll drop off into the depths of MilMesh :)

By the way, you're a Regular now! :D
And if you wish, you can change it yourself to anything you like in your personal settings ;)

Thats a really nice render KC.

The only minor crits I can offer are.
1. Line of exhaust gases dont appear to align with the plane, but as I know nothing about vector thrust aircraft so maybe thats how it should be.
2. I think your glass in too reflective and needs some transparency.
3. Maybe fade of the exhaust gas a little towards that edge of the picture.
4. Yellow wing trails .....shouldn't it be whiteish ?

Its a nice job on the model, textures, render and integration...very realistic.

The Raptor and the Rafale are among the sexiest looking fighter jets ever designed. Great details on the Raptor!

*waves "hi" to pilot*

Thrust vectoring involved actually moving the nozzle of the exhaust so I think that might explain for the misalignment of the exhaust gases.

I'd actually like to see a little MORE reflection but that's just me.

Looking good...I think the bright white parts that I complained about in the other thread look much better now. :)
