Who is going to Flying Legends 2006 - the famous air show at Duxford on 8/9 July? Entrance price is a whopping £30 (cheaper pre-order, which reminds me...) but when 30 Spitfires and Mustangs are ticking over in front of you, just before a mass take-off, you realise it was worth it :D
I'm going on Sunday. Who will I meet there? :D

Not me I'm afraid, living in Sweden it's quite a trip to make. I hope I can go next year though!

Please look for me and tell me later if I enjoyed it.
Duxford was one thing I missed in the 2 years I lived over there. Had a great time at Prescott with the Bugatti owners club, though.
Duxford still on the one day list.

I will be there on both days but probably one day doing my shots from the other side of the fence (30 + 30 would mean 60!)

Last time I looked they only had a Typhoon cockpit...
Last week I visited the RAF Museum but didn't manage to make many pics (only Black 6 and the P-51D). I'll go back there soon. They have the Typhoon, and two Tempests (Mk.II and V).

Ha Ryanair from Niederrhein to Stansted and then by rental car.
Although it was my 32th birthday that day, we still managed to get kicked out of the nearby camping at 23.00 hrs. Therefore we had to move to some other place. We had met some German An-2 guys in the pub that evening who informed us about the 'campsite' at Fowlmere field.
Now I must hurry to catch the 22.40 ferry from Calais to Dover for another 5 days of UK airshow!
Have fun at RIAT! (think thats where you going!)

On saturday we started at 8.00 at the south-side of the runway. Looking for some nice photo-changes directly under the display-line and having the sun(!) in our back. However the police ordered us to leave there at 15.00. Then we walked to runway 09 because that was the best place to photograph the airshow with the sun in our back. Unfortunately there was very little sun that day so the only decent pic is that of the two Mustangs taking off. There is a slight slope in the terrain which gives the illusion of very low-flying.
Supah: You have a wonderfull report at the above mentioned site! Nice to read. Some other pics of Duxford can be found at http://members.lycos.nl/frankenjohan/duxford

Nice shots mate! The Mustang head-on is great!
I'm still busy editing my RAWs, but haven't found much time for it (and got Farnborough pics to deal with now as well!). Here's one that came out particularly nicely though:

...What camera did you use?...
Just a simple Canon 300D with a very very standard 75-300mm objective.
Ehh... had a small look and noticed that I took the 27.653'th picture in the zoo yesterday... That is 2-7-6-5-3
