Hi crew,
Is there a faq already on how to attach images?
When I follow the current faq it doesn't work for some reason.
I can see them in my message while composing it in advanced, but when I preview the message they turn into hyperlinks again...
Be smart, help the dumb !

Could you attach something in this thread so I can see whats going on?
(That might be normal behaviour for a preview though... have you tried just posting it and seeing what happens?)

Yup,
I tried to post this pic,
http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=197&stc=1&d=1149261169
second try:
200
uploaded the pic again
I think I dont get it what i should I do with the link that I get on the attachment manager, would it be possible for nitwits like me to have a "copy pic to your message" button or something ??
----
EDIT: ah now I see, i should click and hold on the attach paperclip as well... but then I only get the option to insert a thumbnail..?
----
and when I uploaded it the first time it did show in the messagebox of advanced and I had the pic uploaded to the server, but when I click on preview it only shows the link not the pic.
Same now, I copied the link but I can't see the pic anymore in the advanced messagebox...
Same goes for the pics I posted in this reply
http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/showpost.php?p=419&postcount=3
They are only visible as attachments not in the message itself, which would be neat for a mini tut...
It did work when I had the pictures up there from a remote server...
I guess it's me huh ?

Ah I see what you're trying to do now. To put attachments in the body of the message rather than in the attachments box at the foot of the message, you need the attachment ID, which for my example (http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=206&stc=1&d=1149328317) is 206.
Then you use the vB code [ attach ] attachmentid [ /attach ] (without the spaces) and it will insert the thumbnail at that point.
206
Like so.
This will only work for the post you attached the image in, and it will only ever give you the thumbnail. (large images should always be posted either as a link or a thumbnail, never directly in the thread).
