Nice model
Those rotors scare me ....the way they intertwine. Not a machine I would ever jump into.
Artwork looks good. Could be improved more with some GI type lighting, specular maps and stronger cast shadows.

Great subject!!!
I am not sure if it's a good book cover though. The whole cockpit area gets lost against the busy background.

I agree with the background issue. Blur and desaturate it a bit, maybe add a little rim light to the copter.
Using a smaller focal length would increase the visual distance between object and background.
great model (almost forgot to say that), I like those kinda exotic stuff

I agree about the rotors they look scary.It's possibly the safest system around :) When tailrotors fail, all hell breaks loose. The Chinook's system has had its share of problems as well (due to gearbox failure, unsynchronising the intersecting rotors, making them collide). Kamov's solution to eliminate torque is good too, but quite complex and large.

Probably right there skyraider. I remember seeing a Helix (russian counterrotating copter) going thru the paces; I was quite impressed.
