This tail is from BW-372 which belonged to Finnish Air Force. The plane is nowdays at Pensocola in Naval Air Museum.

I'd really like to modify my 3D Dutch Brewster Buffalo model to a Finnish one at some stage. The Finns definitely had one of the coolest WWII color schemes and were quite successful in the air with the Buffalo.

Yes, the Finns had some of the highest kill ratios in WW2 with the Buffalo. 27:1 if I remember correctly. Quite impressive for an 'overall'. Individual squadron records could be better though. VMF-323 "Death Rattlers" for instance shot down 124.5 Japanese aircraft with no losses to themselves, flying Corsair. Speak of impressive...

No, I like to concentrate on the art instead of the plane. And my computer can't even handle this tail-part without loading pauses, it's that old. ;)

Hey, its farting moose! I accidently found this thread. BW-372 has a very interesting history. Its sad we lost the plane to US. I hope they´ll respect the heritage of that very special aeroplane.
Kevjon: Do u have a Brewster 3d model? I would like to see that and maybe someday in Finnish camoflage!

Not so far, still need to finish the textures off, the cockpit detail and pilot before progressing to finished renders.

I think we´seen the Dutch version already, havent we? World would be better place to live, there would me more love in the air, birds would sing and little squirrels smile if they just could see a Finn version of Buffalo...just once at least;)
