Hi crew,

On the old board we had a few people busy with making the Memphis Belle and B17's in general.

This is a link of which I'm not sure how legal it is. Let me explain, it's a website that let you play movies that are posted in newsgroups. Lot's of illegal stuff going on in those, so not sure and I can't find any legal stuff about it either.

Anyways, it let's you view/download, the original wartime movie "The Memphis Belle, a story of a Flying Fortress". It is the original movie, not the later Hollywood version.

In case someone knows more about it and thinks it's illegal to post this, I'll edit the post...

For now, enjoy!

I just watched some of the vids on that guba site. The Memphis Belle video is great thank you. Have you guys seen the Sukhoi? I've seen her live once. Man, that plane is so much fun to watch. The pilot showed the cobra maneuver. Incredible stuff that!

The "Memphis Belle" is public domain........it's on video.google as well. This documentary was recently digitally restored, and includes over 3 hrs of bonus material on DVD. The difference between the unrestored and the restored is ASTOUNDING. The color is so clear it makes you feel like it is present-day, something that most WWII-era movies cannot do since most are in B&W. Great stuff for the WWII buff!

If the Mephis Belle at RAF Duxford is the real one, then I have seen and touched her with my own hands. The real one or not (though I think it is), it surely is a beautiful sight.

To all you aviation enthusiasts, RAF Duxford is a trip you will really enjoy...
