Since I mentioned the Beaufighter is almost finished in Kiwi's FlakBoat thread, and I had no time to post before, I decided to post some pics. These are merely WIP renders, done in my so precious spare time which is a very rare thing lately... Maybe I'll find time later to post some of my previous work, although the gallerys are being filled up with quality conent so fast, I don't really think it's necessary now. Maybe I'll just wait a few month until I do something new and more appealing ;)

(yea, i know the 2nd plane is a clone, but hey, its a WIP render ;) )

noisy... too noisy probably...
Oh yea... two first renders have odd shadows on the engines, because I have misplaced my propellers and they were intersecting with engine cowlings, fixed now and in the 3rd render. Hope you enjoy it anyway ;)

Ohh cool :) be great to see that beau with Kiwi's little Vorpostenboot...
try this link ( http://impact.ii.uib.no/arnt/Peaks/krakhellenipa.html) for more correct Beaufighter terrain. The fjord you have used is the Geirangerfjord, too far north and way to steep.
The Beaufighters used to roam the outskirts of our coastline late war, eating KM fodder for breakfast, coming up from Dallachy, together with Mosquitos from Banff, but all that you probably know already..
The images on the bottom of the linked page, is the Gulen area, just north of Bergen, where the KM used to hide away their convoys at nights and when attacks were expected

None of the renders are entirely convincing, but I do like where you're going with this!

A simple pilot in the cockpit would make a big difference, and something more but I canīt put my finger on it.

Torp seems offset from center-line?
It might be just the nose low angle the torp was carried in causing an optical-confudgalation, I'm not sure. Seems some angles our media distorts and foreshortens. It drives me nuts when I start to doubt my model.

Its such cool plane and you've done a great job with it. Hope you find time to finish it off.
I like the first image best, except might look better if rear beau was a little further back, they seem to be on top of one another ATM.

hmm... i agree with Ronnie... they all need work. the last one is the bestt though the noise and the sepia desaturation is probably hiding a bit of the "damage".... overall i think in the first shot, the plane"s" need to be darker.. the color of the light seems different than the bg... there should be grain as well... (more than there is now). it feels like the bg is overcast but the plane"s" is in the sunlight... great model"s" :D

I prefer the first actually :) The last is very blurry and make it look like a toy was photographed out-of-focus.
Regarding the torpedo... I vaguely remember this was indeed off-centred with regards to some access panel (crew? ammo?).

You're probably right there. The hatch is quite large, now I think about it.
Everything else on her was offset a bit, why not that too? LOL

The first one is quite convincing for me.
Like said before, move the 2nd plane a bit further to the back. This will also reduce the reflections on top of the 2nd plane.

Marvelous work!
Nice!! The second pictures isn't G. Ranoszek airplane?
:salute: Very nice Dark!
I like the first image. With the pilot would be perfect.
