The question is: What is this Me 262 pulling? When I saw the first photo I thought it was just something in the background, but then I saw the other...
Any ideas?

It is Me 262 V10 (VI+AE) with SC 1000 bomb. Bomb is joined to a special "glider", that making possible to pull it by plane. Plane was piloted by Gerd Lindner and tests was made in november 1944 r. Wings of "gliger" was from Fi 103 (V1), tow bar was 4 meters long. It was possible to use also SC 500 or even torpedo BT 700 in this way. This method of bomb carrying no needs undercarriage modifications and take off distance stay the same as without bomb. But there were problems with stability and breaking bomb away. One time Lindner has to land still with joined bomb. Further trials was contiunued in February 1945 in Lechfeld, but soon was canceled.

There was experimentation along the same lines for towed fuel tanks, too.

There's little on the net about the flying gas tank (http://www.capehobby.com/IMAGES/models%20594.jpg) but there's one pic.
