Hi.

My name is Sven Littkowski, and one of my hobbies is maritime archaeology (since 25 years). I can easily make reconstructional sketches of ancient Roman ships, but have no knowledge of using 3D software for this purpose.

Who would like to join me and create many realistic reconstructions with me? I have all the details.

See some samples below, showing battle galleys of the Roman and the Egyptian fleets.

Please contact me.

Sven

Was that necessary?

Now as before: I am inviting skilled 3D model developers to join me.

@Marco: Hmm... When looking to your posts, don't I see there some oared ships, too? Even an ancient Egyptian oared vessel. The post where you complain about the "bulky" hulls. Seems you're already in "Fantasyland". For all the hundreds of ship reconstruction illustrations I made, I can give for each and any of them the ancient resources (reliefs, mosaics, textes, paintngs) and the common mathematical formulas to calculate certain ship measurements. In fact, I even developed a cross-measurement calculator which converts between ancient and today's measurements. So, I ask you now to "allow" me to develop 3D models of ancient ships, just the same way you did. Thanks.
