first of all sth about me
i´m from germany and new to max (ca. 1 month) so this is my first big model
its the german tank Leopard 2A6

it would be nice if you can give me critics and i´m searching for detail photos

I don't know the tank too well, but your model looks great - excellent level of detail. I'm looking forward to seeing the turret installed.

I see too low detail :\ , the wheels, the track, refrigerators.......

What a pity!!, because this tank is more beatiful.

But like a LowPoly, it's good.

In pic #1 I see the left edge of the hull as a straight line from rear to the beginning of the glascis plate, where the hull line lowers. In pic #2 the left edge seems to change angle level with the rear of the turret. I'm unsure why that looks that way, possably a quirk of software and moniter?

yea it is low poly if you compare it to a tank wit 4-5 mil polys (atm 150 000)
but it is high poly if you compare it to an "game" tanke (ca 6000 polys)

i think i´ll post an update in 3-4 days

I wouldn't go deeper into detail but focus on the textures later. Are you done with that changings of the Kettenschürze(I think this is called mudgard in english)? I would like to see a comparison.

hey nice, i really wanted to model the leo 2 a6 but that turret was just too much of a pain to model, all pointy and hard to get right! (hence my doing the a4 instead)
looking great so far, are you going to texture?

Use your Leopard 2A4 like a base, then only make the additionals pieces and put them on Leopard 2A4, it's more easy. Or I think.
I will make in this way, because i will be five types of tank. The Leopard 2A4, A5, A6 ,STRV-122 and 2E.
You have tha 2A4 then it's more easy

Hi Starforce.

I'm building now a Leopard 2E ( Spanish version ), it's more different than your Leopard 2A6, the turret top it's totally new, the traps doors have a electric displacement in the horizontal to rear and more armoured :eek:
The front also is different. The previews will be coming soon , because I'm working in my summer holidays in other portatil PC, but for Second middle of August , show him . Sure.
Good work. Now to texture it.
