Hi folks,

I am looking for scale drawings of the English Electric Canberra B.Mk.2 or B.Mk.6. I have an extensive library of scale drawings but the only good Canberra drawings I had were of the B(I).Mk.8, which is somewhat different. I couldn't find anything useful online either.

Could anybody please help me?

Cheers,

Ronnie

...and off the internet's radar it seems. So little out there for such a historically significant machine.

I know they're not drawings but some further info

Maybe with those models there would be drawings included, I'm not sure, maybe they can help.

Cheers Airborne. I might e-mail OzMods to ask if they're willing to share they drawings they used on their model kit :)

Did Australia ever have them or did we F111 instead or something?
Just a thought if the RAAF ever did have them Stewie Wilson would be the man.

Yes Australia did have them :) They had the F-111 a lot later.

Are there significant differences between the B1 and B2 Ronnie? A set of B1 blueprints is available at Airwar.ru (http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw/canberra.html)

That's not a B.1 (of which less than a handful of prototypes was produced (http://www.bywat.co.uk/types01.html)) though, but a B(I).Mk.8 if I'm not mistaken. For this version I have excellent drawings already, but it's longer, has different engines and an offset cockpit.

No worries though, Airborne's link made me contact OzMods who recommended me a certain set of drawings from a magazine of over two decades ago. That magazine was impossible to find, but those drawings also appeared at a different magazine (Aviation News) around the same time. I managed to find it through an Ebay seller who was selling many other AvNews mags :)

So thanks everyone - I'm sorted :)

Stewart Wilson does cover the Canberra, plans and all, in one of his books. Only $20, they're exceptional value. The only one I don't have is the Canberra (http://www.aviationmuseum.com.au/shop/Product.cfm?ProductID=6) one.

Thanks for the help, guys! :)

The only thing I really need now are photos of Canberras during the Suez Crisis, with yellow-black stripes. Very rare apparently...

PS. LOL! On Amazon UK that book is £146

Seems the yellow paint was just as rare. LOL.
Would that the RAF just ran out so switched to white imply the pics showing white would be the same pattern?
Can't talk now too busy cornering the market on Stewart's books.
