This is another one commissioned by the same crew chief that I reworked the F-106 for. Airplane #81809 was an F-16A, Block 15H model. This is how she would have appeared in the early to mid eighties. She was attached to the 57th FWW out of Nellis AFB at the time. I am happy to report she is still in one piece today although she in in storage. These are the two of the options I have presented to my client. Whichever one he doesn't choose I will keep for myself to offer as prints.

Very nice Mark. I can't fault either of them and I can see things in both that I like. I don't envy your client trying to pick between the two!

It looks great. Only one thing, it kinda looks like it has a big mouth air inlet. Or is that just perspective?

^I agree, though it's purely subjective- both pieces are up to your usual high standards Mark. :)

Thanks to all of you gentlemen. I appreciate the kind words.

Well, here is what should be the final work. My client chose the mountain background. We also decided to go with a triple cluster of 500lb MK-82s instead of the Maverick. I like the added bulk and the color of the bombs is a nice touch. I added the wing strake vortex as per some good advice from a artist viewer. Added the patches in the title block and a few minor changes and I think she's ready to go.

Very nice Mark. The Mk82s do add something more to the image and the added vortex gives the impression of begining high G pull up after the flare release.
