Never were Derfflinger

Hi all, I am new here, and would like to show you what I've got so far modelling DKM Derfflinger.
All started when here (http://forummarine.forumactif.com/vos-maquettes-et-etudes-f48/panzerschiff-etudes-2-6-8-t1880.htm) I saw these studies for Panzerschiff. I thought it would be more interesting to try to model it than a real ship, as I would have also to design it, and not only follow a drawing, basically.

I am using Wings3D, Blender and indigo Renderer.

One problem : I have no idea how i could do the portholes into the hull. Any tip ?

I forgot to say that most of the things here are just placeholders to check the feasability of the boat ...

couple questions I has for u.
whats the main gun caliber?
It looks like you have 4 anti aircraft gun turrets and I don't see any 5" secondary turrets on this ship. the Germans designed a dual & a single mount for there 5" gun. take your pick, though it looks like It could handle 2 dual turrets or 4 single mounts w/ the AA battery on a deck above & inboard of the secondary batteries.
I always thought the Hipper Class could have been built with 8 11" guns in 4 dual turrets if they just gave it a little more tonnage.
way more usefull they would have been
