Well this is still technically a WIP, as I haven't started on the texturing yet... so we'll try and refill this horrible void by reposting... I'm not going to repost the whole project - if you want to look at the progression I have the majority of the wip renders uploaded to my site, and you can see them here: http://www.prdobson.com/project/hms-king-george-v-1939/

Here are the renders of the ship with the modelling completed though.

WOW. That certainly has the wow factor. Great detail and beautiful render of one of the UK's greatest battleships.

When are you going to find the time to texture this?! You've got so many other projects on the go. However, I look forward to the time when you can complete her and do some action renders:)

Oh I'll find the time - eventually anyway. I've been putting it off a little as I can't decide quite how to depict her. Reasonably clean, or with her unbelivably chipped paint she had at around this time (the original coat of paint on both King George V and Prince of Wales' hulls weathered incredibly badly - but oddly there is no rust discernable in the photos). I think I'll probably go for a bit of a compromise though.

Cool, no need to add comments, since it seems you're getting it pretty right!

Great work mate. Finish it now that you've advertised it again.

Nice! Looks almost like the wireframe in some areas too. As for texturing... well... I WILL do it... eventually. I just don't like texturing very much so I don't usually jump at the chance to do it.

It's first time I post here Shipyard and Drydock.
Martocticvs, nice work but I don't know much of Royal Navy ships,
although IJN officers were much respect ,paid much attention for Royal Navy,
as master of them.Because they learened many things form Royal Navy.

I think you are right. Many more started, than finished.
