My host has been monitoring OUR server to keep a lookout for more denile-of-service attacks, and brute force attempts to hack the server. During this time they have stopped just about all of them from continuing. However, we have STILL had outages with the server. I have been in contact with them (rather heated) about what the hell is going on with the server and why it keeps hardlocking.. I can't even shell into the server to reboot it. They have to physically reboot it.

They checked the logs and the server is returning ZERO errors, yet the problems continue. We hardlocked on Sunday night for a bit. So they examined the server and have determined that the fan unit cooling our server is not able to bleed off the heat from the server well enough, which they tell me is causing the server to basically freeze up when the server gets hit with a high load.

Short and sweet - we're running hot.. very hot - so they are going to install a new cpu fan, an additional rack fan, onto the server to keep cooler and WE HOPE discontinue the downtimes. This REPAIR/FIX will happen on Wednesday or Thursday and will require that the server go offline for a short time while the new fans are installed.

I'm trying to keep you informed of what's going on so you are aware we are definately working too fix the issues and put and end to the downtimes.

Thank you for understanding. It's frustrating for me just as much as it is for you when you see a 404 page. When I do.. my stomach turns.. bare with me.. we're on it.
