The F-100 Super Sabre has always been one of my favorite airplanes ever since I was kid. I had some free time back at the end of May so I decided it was time to do a depiction of "The Hun". I ended up setting it aside for a while and recently decided to come back to it. The aircraft are in the markings of the 31st TFW, 355th TFS.

...and a little less violent version.

Best. Camo. Ever. Is there a plane that doesn't look good in that scheme?
Great work as always Mark- personally not too fond of the red border on the second one, but that's really not important. :)

Thanks Samurai. I love that scheme too. I just added the red border for a little complimentary color to showcase the image on the web. The prints have my usual white border.

Here's an updated image with some ordinance added and the markings changed at the request of a former Hun driver and his wingman; napes on the inboard pylons, CBUs on the outboard. They said I needed to add these items because that's what made the airplane so lethal.
The pilot I am working with said he really loved the F-100. He said it was an extremely honest airplane to fly and an excellent gun platform in his experience. His proud lady brought him back home 213 times between 1967 and 1968. I am glad to hear such nice things about the airplane.
