Hello.
For my first post, i will need your help.

I'm looking for Sd.kfz 251 Ausf D nice references, for the model i'm working on.
I already have the complete books collection of WWII AAFV PLANS and other plan views.
I'm also working with these 2 websites:
http://www.wwiivehicles.com/
http://www.sdkfz251.com/.

But that's absolutly not enough.
I'm unable to find pics of specific parts of the vehicule i'm looking for.
One of the most difficult things to find is the tracks references. I don't even know the width of the tracks wheels.

The best would be nice detailed plans or bluesheets, of the whole vehicule and its different parts.

Any help is welcome, even about other halftracks versions . Or may be do you know good books i could buy?

Thx

Gery, the Sd.Kfz.252 was based on the Demag 7 (Sd.Kfz.10) chassis like the Sd.Kfz.250, the 251 was based on the Sd.Kfz.11 3t zugkraftwagen chassis.

You could try this:
Panzer Tracts No. 15-3 - mittlere Schuetzenpanzerwagen (Sd.Kfz.251) Ausf.C & D - History of Production, Variants, Organization, and Employment in Action from 1943 to 1945 (http://www.panzertracts.com/)

http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/pit/3515/251/
http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/pit/3515/251/251-trk.htm

The wheels are inter-leaved and fit almost to do edge of the tracks so work out those before putting in the details or you'll find that they'll need to be redone. There also needs to be a gap between the inner set of wheels to allow for the large track guide (No.9 in the linked image above).
Unless you have access the the real thing some things you will have to do by eye.
