Hello everybody.
Some time that I register at the forum, and even then it was not showing any work. This is the first tank to attempt to carry out, and I hope to finish well.
For now, are only suggested parts of the back, in the absence of hooks, this is just to get an idea of how the tank is on the back. Then try to work the various parts in more detail.
A greeting.

Looks like a good start. I saw a show on television the other night which ranked the Leopard as the best tank in the world. It is an impressive beast.

Thank you Falcon012 . When I put the Blueprints in 3ds max, to begin shaping the tank. I told myself. "This tank is as long as a bus," joke. But if it's a good machine. At a forum in arms, I read that the Abrams tank was better, but I think that whenever there is petrol, I trust the Germans more, jeje. ;)

I would rank the Abrams, Leopard II and Challenger II all up there at the top. They are all pretty awe inspiring in their capabilities.

The Leo it's the very best, only because the M-1 it's used in war action  but the Leo have more longer shoot to punch the Abrams :lol::lol::lol:
The leopard 2E of course

So the leopard would say to Abrams:
"Bread, bread, wine, wine, and for your ass, my cucumber"
"Al pan, pan; al vino, vino; y pa tu culo, mi pepino." (Que chungo es traducirlo/
Difficult to translate).

Hello. Thanks for your comment. Now I'm looking for a good reference point where they appreciate good hooks. Because those who are there are just references. Hopefully get lucky and find some it, and I finish doing the hooks to put me with the lights.

Approximately half of the hook of the tank is in this way, I confirm that two pieces more in the wings.

There are, the hooks jejje (A lack of a piece that does not look good), and I see picture above where the hook on one side leads to another system nullifies the chain, so it contains this detail and will do a second to change it to tastes of consumers.:)
Edit: The same goes for the headlights that are next to the hooks, the ahi in a different way, I'll have to make another pair.

Update: Skirts (in the absence of one of the headlamps rectangles, tweak the central hook, make unions of skirts at the top, the missing piece in the side hooks.) And I go forward.

Tirit
12-10-2008, 10:26 AM
Thanks Agus. The engine is an option which will see the end, according to the account of polygons. For now I am going well in that aspect, but even so I can have more polygons in the tank, road wheels and tracks. But if the engine is something that I had in mind.

Thanks Falcon020, it was time to make the wheels, hopefully this will not have a high cost in polygons.:)
So far 450,000 (not real), not counting the few pieces of mesh smooth actually be the thing for about 800,000 polys real.
Cheers and happy year. ;)

Just a suggestion, work on the turret as a separate model file then xRef it onto the chassis. Might stop the allocated memory problem while you're working.
Otherwise, beautiful model. I'm certainly watching this one. :)
Thank you very much for the comment killakanz. You're right, but the problem is actually on wheels, I've optimized everything I could, so the wheels have to xref. When you want to do the final rendering. For now there are about 1,200,000 of polygons, all tank ;)

Wow, that's twice what my crusader currently is...
Jej jeje
I think not many polygons, but it could be less;), but not many as MentalRay lead to errors. Vray I think the limit is 3,000,000 polygons. And still to be done the whole tower. The system of springs and Mg42 I am creating a separate file.
For now, the tank is as follows:

Well, we are with the wedges. In the situation where the EMES 15, which is this little box with two doors open, we still have to continue the hole in the back in there to do otherwise, to the head of the pilot.

Wow - I really don't come here often enough. That looks outstanding Tirit! I'm no expert on the Leopard 2's but she looks exactly as my poor memory says she should! They always were a great looking tank. A real shame the Australian Army went for the Abrams to replace our old Leopard 1's.
Anything left to model (I'm thinking a machine gun mount at the very least... :)) or is it pretty much on to texturing now?
