Hi there. I have some decent line drawings from Airwar.ru but as wondering if anyone has knowledge of anything better? I am looking to create as detailed a model as I possibly can make. The more information I can get the better, and the more detail I can add to my model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, if you go up a bit on that buran link, theres a folder of gifs and a folder of jpgs that are both huge and filled with amazing pics.

Thanks Andy!

becareful with those scans. I used them about a month ago. I had a lot of cleaning and untwisting to get them together straight. Thank goodness for the new tools in photoshop CS2.

Wow. Lots of pictures of the Buran.
Andyf: Thanks, thats a decent looking site. I was thinking of building the AN-225 after I built the AN-124. If I could find pictures of the AN-124 or the An-225 like these it would make doing that a breeze.
Mrys: Thanks thats the set of prints I was refering to at airwar.ru. They are nice, but the cross sections have some big gaps in rather important areas, such as where the wing root joins the fusalage and where the bulge for the main gear housing is. Using the pictures I have from my surfing the internet I have been trying to BS my way through those areas. But it woud be better if I could find actual cross sections for them. It doesn't hurt to ask :-)
I may be starting a WIP soon. But I am still in the very early stages. And of course if I can find some really good references I may wind up scraping what I have and starting over. But to give you guys an idea of where I am I will post a couple pictures. Like I said I am still in the early stages.

Bugs in cross sections are normal even in very good references. Believe me, I have seen thousands drawings and only few was almost perfect. Almost. The only way to get what you want is make them by yourself. And using photographs - the only source of true knowledge how something looks like. In my work sometimes I start with very poor blueprints, correcting 3D model by other references and at the end I'am able to draw good set basing on my 3dmodel. There are many areas of aircraft - region between wings and fuselage for example, that are very hard to imagine how exactly it should be drawn. Or curvature of cross sections - for 3D model it heve to be perfect so we need to correct what is on drawings...
Your An 124 in early phase looks very promising, so keep this way...

Thanks myrs. You can't blame a guy for trying though. :)
By the way, I will ask my friend in Kijev if he has any photos of An 124 (he loves Antonov's aircrafts). Maybe could be useful for you.

That would be fantastic. Thank you.
Can't promise (Igor is... hmm, a little strange (hu)man) but if only have something probably will be possible to get it

I will make the model available when it's completed if that is any incentive to help out?
