I love the specular reflections on the plane, but it seems to me that your light source conflicts with the background : it seems to come from the left for the planes and from the back for the clouds. I think you should move the main light source back.
If you change this, you'll have a very good pic :)

really nicely done:) my crits would be i think the unlit side of the plane is a little dark and also the deflection of the control surfaces is a little big. I really like the feel of the picture though. Top job mate:cool:

Yeah, I agree with Krazycolin. I thought your mustang deserved a header too!

Lovely render Fox51! Featuring one of my favourite planes too.
Couple of crits though, the background image is quite grainy compared to the
foreground planes and the lighting seems to be from a different direction and possibly colour to the background. A tricky one to get right I know, but one that
would make the result a true knockout image! The shadow on the left side is also a bit too dark I feel.
Lovely subject and nicely done all the same. Excellent work! :D
Mmmmm... I like it.... Love every Fw 190.
Very good work! I can agree with opinion about light direction differences on background and on planes, but it is not to much visible.:)

your light source direction is close. You should put a secondary source to show more details of the wing root. That looks to be the centering point of the eye.

the grain isn't strong enough on the planes... agreed.. but i disagree about the light position.. it looks dead on to me. and the shadows are fine as well...

and that means.. leave it dark... at least.. that's my OPINION.. and yes... i do have one .... (duh!!!)
hi ,guys ,i am very happy that u love my works :) and thx for your comments .
as for the crits about position of light ,i think i am right and you will agree with me if you carefuly study the the dark parts and shadow of cloud in background .:P

Hi Fox!
very nice models, but I think the markings are just speculative. I have never seen a JG 300 plane with a red rudder. Also the emblem is not correct. It shows the personal emblem of Oberleutnant Fritz Krause (1./NJGr 10). I don't know a single JG 300 Fw 190 showing a painted "Abgasadler". Also the red colour of the Defence of the Reich band should be more red brown. RLM 22 Red was used by JG 1. Spinner should be RLM 70 or black with white spiral.
Cheers, Simon
nice work fox 51.....
The paint is a little glossy....:)

Nice image, mate.
Some comments though:
- cowling guns don't look quite accurate
- windshield/canopy looks too thin
- direction of light isn't correct
- needs more ambient light
Also the composition would look better if the planes would fly in approximately the same direction, I think. Rotating the second aircraft a bit up would help.
