Hi, I'm brand new to the forum. I'm looking for recommendations for a very accurate, high-poly F-18A model. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

Your best bet is the Mesh Factory:

Or of course you could commission someone... ;)

Thanks! A commission may be an option at some point :)

Check out these. Though the A isn't there, it's not much of a difference from the A to the C.

This is a very old thread...

I spent too many hours on this as I build Radio Control planes and build them from scratch. This therefore, has to be accurate or it won't fly so well!

But I don't think anyone has ever given away a high poly model?? I have respect for the guys out there trying to make a dollar for their talents.

No chances are small people will just give you a model, unless you are a good friend of them. Why don;t you make a thread for that model Delphic?

Well Cobra and SkyRaider,

What do you think?

I would love a good mesh of the JSF-35B ( VTOL). I don't care about the rendering or anything as if finsished the thrust and co-pilot systems. But I have a few models and no-one is ever interested in swapping. Or even an F/A-18 - e,f or g.

I'm happy to post it on here and it would be great if someone had either of the above to give back perhaps???

Let me know
Cheers

Thanks to all the freebies on the internet (both legal and otherwise) many people and even companies have come to believe everything can be had for free these days. This makes life for 3D freelancers pretty hard at times and with that in mind I am not advocating giving away models just so. Swapping between friends, sure, but you won't see me sprinkling freebies around I'm afraid, unless it's something ancient perhaps. Too much hard work has gone into those models for that to happen. Not a matter of greed, but simply one of extortionate cost-of-living (rent, bills, insurances... neverending) and hungry mouths to feed :)

Toche'.

Good call.

Matt 101 - whatever your comment meant, whatever...
Cheers.

PS. For that said (very unlikely as I have a lot of older jets) If someone has an F/A-18 -E,F or G or X35B- VTOL and they were looking to swap for an older jet that is of the same quality as the Hornet posted, drop me a line.

Cheers
