when setting up blueprints today I came accross this weird thing:
In my viewports, the map shows only half and stretched. But when rendering it shows up normal (o0)
When I try to manipulate it in UVWmap and move the gizmo, the map is cut out exactly like the plane, It is cut in half
How do I fix this?

This happens when I scale the map:

Hi Cobra,
with my little experience i can suggest you this tip, hoping that can help..
when you set the blueprint in your 2d program, give a squared canvas, with dimension like 1024x1024 or bigger, it depends from the sizes of your cutted blueprints.
When yu are in Max, set the plane over you will put the images, of the same size and, this is very important, set the lenght segment and width segment at 1.
I hope that this will help you, and i have a little script that is doing the job for you,
I try to put it here, hoping that you can take it.
If the file is not coming here there is the link

Not sure why you are having problems cobra.
If the side view of my plans is say 1400 x 500 px. I just create a plane in max the same size. Create a material in max with your side view in it as diffuse texture and apply to the plane. Always worked for me and never had to uv map the plane before applying the material.

Dimensions in pixels of diagram?
Dimensions in cm of plane?
Seems you've got a setting out of place but I'm not enough max guru to tell you which one.

1 pixel = 1 cm on my aircraft.
I do intially set up the plans in photoshop so this will be the case. For example a aircraft with 12.0 metre wingspan is set up so the plans are 1200 pixels. The same could be done in most 3D software which all seem to have some sort of unit of measurement.

I found the problem:
preferences=>viewports=>configure driver=>download texture size=> "Match bitmap size as closely as possible"
Need to be turned off, that was the problem. But now in the viewport my texture looks like crap =/

I'm guessing your image is too big and you're using DirectX.
DirectX is fine (as long as you use version 9) but keep your image under 4096 pixels width.
