Welcome to Military Meshes ;)

Great choice - Fuso has perhaps the most insane superstructure of any ship I can think of :D Looks like a very nice start to her as well :) (I would just point out that there seems to be a bit of creasing going on, from the ends of the submerged armour belt and fanning out towards the ends of the main armour belt.)

Another interesting ship project to watch :D

Well it's an illusion. It's cause of material, I'm still testing material and here seam to be some kind of dirt but I'll fix it ;) Thanks for post.

Cool subject, the Fuso is one of the most interesting BB's of IJN

Fuso was a no nonsense gun platform - what an excellent subject. I agree, insane superstructure on that one. Your hull looks great!

Hi,

here you have a small update, it's a really small update. I've had a renovation at home but from now I hope it'll go faster.

Regards,
Wieslaw

She's coming on well! That's some heavy webbing on those rudders... not seen that before.

Looking good. One of my favorite dreadnoughts this. What year in her career are you going to depict? Judging by the quarterdeck, it looks post- 1935 to me. If you don't already have it, I'd recommend the Anatomy Of The Ship book on Fuso. Everything you could possibly want to know about the ship is in there.

Hi,

I'm back from Comicon Challenge, (on Game Artisans Forum) and now I can back to Fuso :D Well about the model, I've got a Anatomy of the Ship and I want to make this model from the End of the War - about 1945. I hope soon will do some update, just have to first rest from my PC :)

Cheers

A real small update. I had to change a bit the material.

Looking nice Wieslaw. In the first render at the front, are those bolts or something else? just wondering because if they are they might be a bit big relatively speaking :)

Looking good :)

Joep - if we're both looking at the same things, I suspect they are inlets for some pumps. Seawater is useful for certain tasks - like replacing used fuel oil in the tanks.

Let's see what goes on! I like the Japanese WW2 ships for their complexity and high armament.

Just a question: do you have - by chance - the ship hull of any battleship for me? No details required (bulleyes, rudders, propellers), just the hull. Thanks.

Looking forward to see your progress. by the way, can you post a photo or sketch of the Fuso so I can see how the real ship looked?

that is a very promising start. i had been working on Fuso too, but never got enough details on it. i think i just explode with too many things to make. it is admiring that you took them on. looking forward to your next update.

Hi,

I admire all you guys, building these 3D ship models, I tried it ones, but had to stop, maybe I'm to old to learn one of the 3D programs. These 3D drawings are a great contribution for model builders like me, they give a lot of detail !!!

Greetings

John.
