Quite believable colour schemes!
I noticed on the Australian version you've accounted for roundel "distortion", but not on the British ones? Or in any case they're not consistent.
PS. Please upload a 100-pixel thumbnail with your first post, so it will show up nicely in the 2D Gallery overview.

I assume you're talking about adding roundels under the wings? I...well...forgot to... :err:

I assume you're talking about adding roundels under the wings? No, I actually meant the ones on the rear fuselage. On "XL609" it'doesn't have any distortion, while on the Aussie example it is very squashed. On the other British machine it looks to be partly distorted and is probably the correct amount of distortion for this plane.
A lot of profile artists simply forget to distort fuselage roundels to match fuselage curvature. You haven't forgotten it, but instead applied it inconsistently :)

Great T-2s.
I had the privilege of serving as a US Navy pilot (S-3s). I did my intermediate training in these aircraft, including my first carrier landings, on the U.S. Lexington. 1981, which I just realized is a long time ago!
Cheers!

Nice to see your profiles in one thread: we can measure the extent of your progress! :)
The last profiles are much better as you have a much better representation of glass, panel lines, and shadowing. I think the next step for you is to work on your highlights, which look a bit too consistent (especially on the tail of the p-51).
But as you seem to have understood by now, this kind of activity is an ever-ending journey towards getting better! :)

Yeah, you can really see your progress in technique this way. Those mustang profiles already look miles better than your previous ones :)
