How many poly this modell ?
Can you show a wire picture ? How do you know smooth the model, that the polygon number does not increase drastically?

hey,
thanks for your compliments and interest. Here is a wire..
right at the moment it has about 10000 Tris. I'm planning to extend the Tri Count to about 25000. It's just a "basic shape" at the moment.

Did you sort the smoothing error out? If not, try clearing the smoothing groups and manually assigning a new one, that might help.

thanks for the tip cobra i did not try it yet but i think i did it the manual way already.
Been very busy the last days.. Only small update. I redid the whole wing, flaps, slats and aileron so it is now more accurate.
The WeaponStations need a retouch too.
Here is what i have for now

the progress looks really good.. ;)
u can reduce the tris tyre(landing gears) n put some more details on other part...
in the aerial/front antenna/radar, theres a small part which u can use an alpha mapped texture rather than mesh..
but thats incase u do it for abit extreme low poly count or in LODs later :p

Hey Peiper,
thanks for your recomondation about the alpha maps. i already considered using alpha maps but due to the fact, that the only game i will propably export this machine is the MS FlighSim X, i think its ok because FSX supports a lot of polygons ;)
