Nice.
You might want to alter the fuse profile behind the pilot's head. It's one of those shapes that define particular aircraft visually. Like the Spit ellyptical wing plan or the Corsair gull wing shape.

Good choice I think soem work on teh paint scheme get ti looking a little less regular and more airbushed. Italian planes had some excelent paint schemes.

I have reworked the fuselarge aft of pilots head and changed the paint job as well as adding a driver

Chrisken,
Looking good mate. I like your swarthy Italian pilot.
I like the fuse to prop spinner fusilage shape too. Thats an area many stream line too much. Your's is just right with the bulge into the fuselage. Blunting the spinner profile at the tip a tad more though, possably?
These are all just detail adjustments, though. It's hard to get references that stear you right in the detail with any aircraft. When you're doing something a bit more interesting, like this, its even harder to get good refs.

edit, I was wrong re the aerial.

Spinner!!!
The photo you show is of a Fiat G.55! And the link shows a photo of a Mc.205 Veltro!
Please be sure you're using/supplying the right references, guys

Mc.202 model looks nice, by the way, but can't escape a feeling of clunkyness. The wingtips are very thick, the wingblends are too soft, the gunports are too soft as well and the wheeldoors look a bit like planks. Overall it lacks a feeling of crispness and realism. At least to me - but I'm a very picky person, so don't let that get you down! :)
In any case, it's a fantastic subject and I was waiting for a long time for someone to tackle it.

Got a better pic of that area where the head rest and canopy interreact?
Thats why I gave the link. The reggia and its pilots where locked into the open cockpit debate and that whole series had the same headrest compromise. Theres just precious few pics that show the headrest profile on the net.
Some friends have just done the series for Target Tobruk and I've had a crash course in the minutiiai of them.

Skyraider's first link really shows clearly the detail I was on about. Great pic!
Do you have an end use in mind for your c202, or just doing her for the joy of creation?

I have just composed a scene in Photoshop useing the macchi,it is my first attempt so comments would be appreciated.

O, no, it's poor old Sally B under attack! :D

The scene fees a bit odd. The B-17s are in a very steep bank this way (persoective). Putting the main subject in the far leftbottom corner isn't too great. Keep in mind the rule of thirds.

I quite like the composition. I think having two B17 going down on fire and 2 B17 with their rudders shot off at the same moment in time are pretty slim. The color on the distant two Macchi's needs to be desaturated more to help give a sense of distance and atmosphere.

Yes possably too much destruction for any mission where these aircraft encountered each other.
