Hey everyone,
I'm looking for detailed photos of the rear landing gear of a PBY Catalina.
The part I'm looking for is the mechanism/joint that connects to the wheel and starts the upright strut. I've found some vague photos, but not enough to model that part in detail.
This is the wheel so far:

If anyone could help me on this, it'll be much appreciated!
Thanks,

Have you been here (http://www.pby.com/)? or here (http://www.primeportal.net/the_airstrip.htm)?

Thanks Dave. I've been to both the links before, found great reference for the wheel itself, but no photo from the right angle to show the complete joint leading connecting the wheel to the upright strut. But I'm improvising, minimally, and imaginine what the parts would look like and comparing the dimensions to the side views.
Will post some stuff later, and hopefully I'm not to far off target.

Okay, I didn't go looking through them, just have them in my 'favorites' for future reference. Do you have Squadron's Walkaround book? I don't, it's relatively new. I'll have a look and see if I have something else that might be of help this evening.

Hello,
I got tons of documentation for PBY : photos, flight manuals, drawings etc...and off course, detailled photos of landing gear :-)
Tell me what you need ;-)
I'm currently working on a PBY to into blender for the simulator X-Plane.
Check my work here : http://hydroz.net/simu/pby/pby.htm
I have also tons (200Go) of documentation for many many others aircrafts. Feel free to ask for some.
Cheers

I also have docs for previous PBY but no walk-around (other than those which can be find on the Net)

Thanks for the PM Dave. Was what I was looking for. Kinda blurry image that I have of page 46 in that book, but I'll work it out with the side views. Will keep you updated.
And your work is looking good. As you went for the military model, I'm going for the stripped down civil version. Gonna keep an eye on your work.
