I saw a photo in one of my online newspapers, but i dont fully believe this this thing is for real with the big missile and all.

Does anyone know what kind of missile this is? I thought the MLRS only had the smaller missiles loaded.

Edit: Sry, i now see that this may be a "M39 Army Tactical Missile System (Army TACMS)"

It looks a little odd however - if you take a look at the casing covers (inc. the bits that are flying off) they still have the 2x3 cover pattern. The covers that are still in place also looks untouched - making the image look like a paste together.

That is not to say however, that the image may not be an 'official' paste-together for marketing / demonstration purposes.

Looks like a nasty piece of kit. I agree with Sphynx' observations.
