LPD Work In Progress.

A LPD I've been working on, it's based on the Dutch Rotterdam class LPD, it's 180m long and around 30m wide. It's still a work in progress, the sensors, details and underwater hull have to be added.

The top half is pretty much finished. Now for the underwater hull and some of the internals (helideck and docking deck)

I found the superstructure to be too small so I've rebuild it. Now it's more realistic than the cramped old one.

Added hatches for the davits for LCVP's, more machine guns, the helicopters and some extra machine guns.

It actually looks a lot like the ferry yes, only slightly shorter superstructure and longer back end. I mean the general shape, not all the details though :)

Heh, so you think all the real LPD's look like them too? Well, they do have a bit of similarity in them. They both have to transport vehicles and people.

Nah I don't think all of them look like it, just this one, it somehow just rung a bell in my mind :)
