Hello All...
I have an odd request, not sure if you can acommodate or not??? I am a furniture designer and the business owner of Pinup Designs LLC, link removed. I have been trying to have a design for a vehicle wrap done to emulate a WWII era bomber with a "pinup" on the side with my furniture, etc... I have a friend with an MFA in graphic design and I'm just not liking what he is showing me, as far as, his rendition of an aircraft fuselage (too cartoony), etc... I was aircrew on KC-130 in the Marines and thought the weird looking van was the perfect shape for a C130??? I had a photoshoot the other day with a pinup model on my furniture and would like to fuse the pinup, furniture, and aircraft for the wrap...just dunno how the photography would look against a digital skin...?...or how realistic you could make it...??? If the resolution would be good enough to print on such a large scale to not look pixelated??? I want the truck to look like a piece of art!!! I noticed/loved some of your renderings with flames, the worn fuselages, rivets, etc... Any Way You Can Help??? I'll paste an e-mail here that I sent to different graphics companies about the truck with some images and forward you some inks to the photoshoot last week to see the pinup, etc...:) Please, let me know either way...
I am requesting a quote for a full vehicle wrap for a 2006 Chevy G3500 cut-away van with a Uni-Cell van body... The name of our new business (2yrs) is Pinup Designs LLC. We are a custom art furniture designer/maker outfit located in Trafalgar, IN, our website is link removed. With a name like "Pinup," we are sure the possibilities are endless when it comes to graphics...lol! In our efforts to come up with a unique design, we had the idea of turning this unique van into, what would like, a WWII era bomber, perhaps with pics of the furniture for the "pinup" on the side? Possibly, pictures of silhouetes of chairs and tables, etc, as kills? You know, names of the pilot and co-pilot under windows, etc...sounds pretty fun to design, doesn't it? Not to mention, a really nice addition to your portfolio... Please, let me know what you think of this idea and it's possibilities... I have attached pics of the van to be wrapped and look forward to hearing your comments. If needed, my cell phone # is 317-410-8859 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting**************317-410-8859******end_of_the_skype_highlighting...
Thank You,

Thought these additional pics and dimensions might help???
I measured the van and took some more pics. The driver's door is 45.25" from front of door seam to back of the van cab, it is 37" from the bottom of the window to the bottom of the cab (62.5" w window). The Uni-Cell van body is 10' 21" from back of the cab to the back. It is about 7' (tallest) from bottom of the body to the roof. The back of the body is 87" tall x 85" wide and each door is 70" tall x 35" wide at the tallest and widest points. The hood of the van is 66" wide and the right and left front fenders are roughly 41" wide x 23" tall. The van body above the windshield is 5' wide. On the roof there is a fiberglass light panel that you can see in the pics that should not be covered. The roof of the body is 78" from the top of the windshield to the start of the light panel. There is 21" of area on each side of the light panel on the roof to be covered (the roof w light panel is 72" wide). There is 33" in the back of the roof from the back doors to the light panel.
I hope this helps. I submitted my previous e-mails to a few different places around Indy to see where we're at on pricing. I am looking at getting this done fairly soon. Thank You! If you need anything else, let me know...
The roof will be done as well...except for the rather large light panel on it... We had a photoshoot yesterday with a WWII era pinup modeling with the furniture and will have those images after the holiday weekend. We want this design to be a crazy piece of art...show truck quality...possibly sheet metal tearing to reveal a certain wood grain texture that we will also have images of...the theme is to be a WWII era bomber but to have a "realistic" look, rather than a "cartoony" one... We need the wrap designed, printed, and installed. Our shop is located about 40 min south of Indianapolis, Indiana! We can provide some of the pertinent images in high res...
