hi. nice for low poly.
PS. Modification "C" has two pylons and you have to model four wing pylons )))

simyevil: the light is something controlled by game engine, sorry
and the plane is in landing configutation cca 150m above the ground (approaching airbase) you can see that the flaps are down.
(more screenshots with gear up you could see here: http://combatace.com/topic/59498-eastern-aviation-schools-got-new-tool/page__st__20 )
It is still WIP ;-)

If by flame you mean afterburner, I doubt the albatross even has the capability. Planes don't need afterburner to fly. As for the effect inside the exhaust nozzle itself, it may just be missing so far. Easy to add a glow map or a stencil in game effect. The mottled hot air in front of the exhaust is an effect that would be quite difficult to simulate for most game engines so I wouldn't expect it.

I don't think you understand how game development works. The camera doesn't need more work, footage was obviously taken directly from a game and you have limited controls on this - the game isn't a 3d app where you can put camera on a spline trajectory and fancy stuff like that. In most cases you run the game, fire up fraps, and just play on external and internal views while recording footage. You can do with the camera as much as the game controls allow. I'd say his "camera work" shows the plane in the game pretty good so it accomplished it's purpose well.
The pilot hand - this is a can of worms many sims don't open. It's not just about modeling and texturing the pilot body, you also need to set up bones with a proper IK solution and have it all animated (so when you push the stick or the throttle in the game the hand moves with it). The game needs to support it, but even if you manage to have the hands work the throttle and stick properly, you'd have to wonder why don't they flip various switches around the cockpit when various functions are used? To make matters worse, different planes have their various controls in different places so you couldn't reuse done animations, you'd have to have a separate set for each plane the game supports. If you wanted to do that, we'd be talking an extreme amount of animation work, probably ranging in hundreds of hours. In short, seeing the pilot's hands is a graphical gimmick that doesn't add anything to the gameplay but is an enormous amount of work to pull off correctly. Which is why most sims don't do it.

Monty - you've done an excellent job on this one, love the various texture combinations.

Not seen this before. Really good looking model. Polycount is quite reasonable for 2010/2011, I'd say, and you used them well as the model looks nice and smooth. Great job on the textures!
