The machine in which (then) Lt. Randy Cunningham and his RIO Lt. (JG) Willie Driscoll shot down three MiG-17's in quick succesion which would make them both the only Navy Aces in the Vietnam war. Showtime 100 was lost on the way back sadly when it was hit by a SAM and Cunningham and Driscoll ejected to be rescued quickly. "Showtime 100", as its callsign was, went on to become perhaps the most popular aircraft in the history of scale model building and Cunningham went on to become a congressman.

A mini-update this time as I didn't have a lot of time this weekend, A F-4J from VF-21, one of the units that flew the F-4 for the longest period. Their F-4J's were some of the last produced of the type! This one does not have a carrier name on it, this was probably because this aircraft was photographed during a period when the unit was not on a cruise but at its homebase.

They all look fantastic. Some variation in weathering would be nice though :)

Can I request a phantom. It is not a "J" but a "B"

I would like to see VF-84 with the JR flag.

Fantastic illustrations Supah! How about adding the RN and RAF ones to your list of variants? They were based on the F4-J, although redesignated F4-K (RN) and F4-M (RAF). The RAF even bought some ex-USN F4-Js in 1983!
