Here is a litte 3 hours project I modelled using the "White Rhino" arranged with the bullets and the surface in C4D.

It is a Colt Python - Ok more or less a defense weapon, but it bites...

well... i think the shape is ok... but the pics lack... substance.... it needs to feel ... metallic and not plastic. the join between the metal and the handles is way to neat... otherwise.. for 3 hours.. not too bad at all...

Take it for a first WIP... my posibilities are not too great :( - I have a very old version of C4D which I try to understand basically - lights functions are not too much ( no GI, no AO... ) . I try to increase my level of knowledge, but this might last some time . Actual trial -also WIP- is this one - ... have to get a feeling for mats and illumination!!!

Next step should be to change the COLT logo at the grip from *'!"?`to acceptable!!!

that's much nicer..... i would fix the uvw problems on the base of the handle... maybe put a bit of noise as a spec or a bump on the metal.... very nice....

What I originally wanted to have is the shining of a fresh oiled surface - I merged a colorsweep into the specular channel - ( a bit only but the effect is nearly not remarkable - I will work at the handle and the brand sign ( tombak coin with Colt trademark ( if it is allowed to use it in case of copies))

But at the moment I take my first trials in charactermodeling - hard to do...
