Nice.
Some of your plug wires seem to be going somewhere a tad weird though?

Thanks Spinner, well spotted I've had a look at the profile again and it seems as though they drop down the back of the main block similar to the exhausts.

Help needed from all you maxers, we can go to great trouble modelling the wing, tailplane, rudder and fusilage spars and joints, showing them in great detail but is there any way in max that we can cover them, using them, to support the covering???

good-looking Vickers pccdtk, but with inaccuracies :
- the crank handle and feed blocks are on the other side of the gun. Actually everything from the left should be on the right.
- you seemed to have modelled the crank handle as one piece though it's not the case; see pic.

Thanks for the input guys, really appreciate it, it's members like you that really push people to get the best out of their 3D modelling, once again many thanks :)

Just a small point re. the vickers gun, now the one that I've shown in my pic is the one with the conical barrel where as the one that you guys are showing is the one with the air cooled barrel, i'll just have to change it!!!!!!

Lionel the ammunition could feed from either the left or right in the Vickers gun depending on the aircraft.

oh, thanks Robby, you learn something new everyday... I've never seen any pics of this type of Vickers.
But the camel pics I've seen show the crank handle on the right, that's what I wanted to point out first and foremost.
What planes had these "upside-down" Vickers ?

Hi lionel - not really upside down. I came across this when modeling the Sopwith Snipe - the ammo belts feed from the centre of the aircraft. The left gun is fed from the right and the right gun from the left - with spent cartridges and links being ejected from each side.

I knew upside down was not the good expression but blame my laziness for not looking up the correct expression in a dictionary. ;)
Awesome detail on the snipe btw, I'll think I'll go have a look at your blogs to see if there's any updates.
