Hey guys, Love the site. I am about to start my first aircraft model and am very interested in the f9f-5 panther. Does anyone have any hi res photos and blueprints, any reference material will help.

Welcome, If your new you may not be aware of this site for blueprints http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw/f9f.html
There are a couple of good sites around with walkarounds photos of the panther and the 1954 movie "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" is also really good reference also.
This plane is high on my todo list also. Really like it a lot. Great looking aircraft.

Yup, still high on my list to finish as well. Actually, once the huey and spit are out of the way......

Thanks Kevjon fro the site. Kiwi, I can't wait to see you begin your panther. I love the look of these early jets.

Well, I actually started it already earlier in the year, tail and rear fuselage are done, as is half of the wings. It was just very hard finding good reference for it, so it'll be a simple model, nothing too detailed.

Kiwi, do you mind posting some of your renders. It would help me get an understanding on where to begin. If you need more reference I have collected some rare books on the Panther.

Here's an image for you. Still very basic. The only real reference I have is a 1:48 monogram model, the movie Kevin mentioned and a couple of photographs. Any extra ref would be very very welcome !
