View Full Version : Miller Time: Wheel to Wheel
Cars built by Miller won the Indianapolis 500 nine times. Miller cars accounted for no less than 83% of the Indy 500 fields between 1923 and 1928.
Offenhauser engines, a Miller derivative, continued winning at Indy until the 1970s.
The Miller derived engines were featured at the Indy 500 until 1981.
This illustration represents Millers from the mid 20's.

Very clean models!
Thanks dawestsides, they're not models though, it's a digital painting.

Very nice work Gray. The sense of movement is there, however, why didn't you use a radial blur on the wheel spokes? The splattering and dust flying off the wheels compensate for this, it's a nice touch :)

An excellent piece Gray. It is also timely as this year is the 100 year anniversary of the Indy 500.
Thanks cobra6, Gadzooks, Mark for your comments.
cobra6, the paint software I use is so old it doesn't have a radial blur and I prefer to paint as much as I can without computer aid. Thanks again.
