I would like to present my newest profile;

Once again first class work.
I'm a little confused by the underside of the fuselage... is it supposed to be cloud reflection or white camouflage ?
Don't see to many aluminium corsairs so this one is quite unique choice.

Hi!
Thanks!
This one is painting on canvas. As I know these parts of wing had canvas convering.

Hmmm you got a photo of that one? Would be great to do in 3D ;)
Profile looks great as usual! The national markings are very odd... skinny...

I meant underside of fuselage.
The canvas covered parts of the wing and rudder would be silver doped rather than white ?

After having studied the photo of this plane, I think it was all-silver - including the fabric areas. The rudder on the photo just catches the sun and reflects it, making it look white.
Also I think the anti-glare panel and canopy were black. But perhaps Maciek knows something we don't? :)

Maybe You have right - but I took into account, that fin's covers are also white. So that's why rest of plane should be silver.
Ronnie; I thought about it and in my opinion (I have only one :) photo) there are two versions - black or dark blue.
Notice, that blue is very dark color and it's not easy to probably recognize right color.

Hi guys,
here's the information I gathered from a book titled " NZPAF / RNZAF Aircraft Colour Schemes - Corsair Special" by Warren P. Russell. Published 1984.
F4U-1 NZ5526 and NZ5531 both wore overall Aluminium paint schemes. Anti-glare panel on top of fuselage, canopy framing and rear aerial mast Black. Propeller dome and cup on wheels Red. Main wheels were unpainted magnesium alloy.
These two F4U-1 Corsairs were operated by the Electrical and Wireless School and by the Central Flying School, Wigram, 1946 as Instructional Airframes
Additionally the Red and Blue in the Roundels should be a little thicker than shown in the illustration. The width of the Red, White and Blue in the FF3 type fin flash should all be equal. There should be a slight gap between the "NZ" and the "55" and another slight gap between the "55" and the "31". I do not believe there is a break in the "NZ", they are solid letters. Also there is no fuel tank sealing tape present in the photos in this publication.
