BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/5301998.stm) is reporting that Peter Jackson is set to begin filming on a remake of the 1954 film The Dam Busters. The film tells the story of one of the most daring and audacious raids undertaken by the RAF during WWII. However, the original was hampered by details of the mission that were still classified. Jackson intends to bring these details to the screen now they have been declassified.

Obviously, the film will need to rely heavily on CGI as only two Lancasters are still flying and they are of the wrong variant. Expect WETA to be the primary CGI FX house involved.
