I did the texturing, not the modeling. It's my first attempt at texturing and its for a film I'm developing. Comments, good and bad?

Did you base this model on an existing model, or old photography, or...?

Seems to me that the Navy birds of this era had more of the "white" (can't recall offhand the 'official' color) underside color than what I see here, basically going from the bottom edge of the trailing edge joint through half of the empennage.

Also, depending on the unit, some had a three-tone blue-blue-white scheme.

But, I do like the metal detail in the close-up. Perhaps rivets could use a bit more bump-mapping

I think the metal general properties are well done, however the colours look off to me. If you are going for rivet detail, make sure the area around rivets dents in a little, and maybe add some panel warping as well.

Hmmm. I realize you didn't do the model, but the TBF/TBM only had one fuselage mounted gun, right side. And it looks like that 'thing' under the left wing is supposed to be the Pitot tube, but it was mounted further out on the left wing and on top of the wing and didn't look like that.

What is this rendered in? Everything looks gray, is the gray look of the airplane a result of GI and the gray surroundings perhaps? I would have thought that the aircraft would still appear more blue. although looking at Flat Sea Blue (ANA 607) and Intermediate Blue (ANA 608) here (http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/page-RGB-colors-USA.html), it might not be too bad considering the gray surroundings.

Thanks for the comments. I can tell I still have work to do. I worked in Cinema 4D and sucked out the color in AE. The environment was an old Vue rendering I had laying around. As soon as I get done working for Disney I can focus on this full time. I'm looking at poser for the pilots/crew. Any experiences with poser?
